Women are the source of energy that runs the world. But
these women are also suppressed in many field and in many ways but real talent
cannot be hidden for a long time, the women also emerged in the field of sports
too. The history of women participation in sports is quite old. Women first
competed at the 1900 Paris Games. Women were allowed to
compete in lawn tennis and golf, though there were three French women competing
in croquet and there was at least one woman sailor as part of mixed crews.
According to Refinery 29, approximately 45 percent of participants in the 2016 Olympics will be
women — the highest number of female competitors to date. The United States has
broken a record of its own: Team USA recently announced its lineup for the Rio Olympics, and out
of 555 competitors in 27 different sports, 292 are women. This isn't the first
time that women outnumbered men on Team USA — that honor went to the 2012 London games — but it's the largest amount
of women competing for any nation in Olympic history.
India earned its both medal through to victory of the female
athletes in the Rio Olympic 2016. Wrestler Sakshi Malik and Badminton player PV
Sindhu are the only two medal winners from this country. Wrestler Sakshi Malik won a Bronze Medal and
PV Sindhu won a Silver medal. Prior to this Olympic were MC Mary Kom , Saina Nehwal
and Karnam
Malleswari all of them earned Bronze medal for India in the year 2012 for MC
Mary Kom and Saina Nehwal . Karnam Malleswari is the first Indian woman to
achive a medal in the Olympics. She earned a Bronze medal in Weight Lifting in
the year 2000 in Sydney Olympics.
