A professional league is a group of
professional players and managing body that governs
the competition of its teams. They
make the rules for competition and behavior and discipline its members as
necessary. This is done through a structure that varies by league. Some are
made up of a board of governors that have a commissioner or president, while
others are single entity organizations where the league owns the franchises and
therefore does not have a board of governors.
The
main objective of these leagues is to earn maximum profit. These leagues are
mostly owned by the corporate houses and they like are like a part of their
business venture. The league teams are sometimes owned by the leading
celebrities of film industries. The professional league involves a big amount
of money involved in the promotion of it and even in the progress of it. Mostly
the professional leagues are surrounded with the glitz and glamour; this
sometimes hampers the dignity of the game. Here the players are fixed with the
team after the team representatives pick them in the auction.
A club league is a
group of young and budding talents who got an opportunity to show their talent
in the field of sports. In this type of leagues the players are not only hired
from other country or club but it also provides opportunity to the players of
their own clubs. The main intentions behind this clubs are to nurture the
quality of the sport and to provide scope to the young players. The club sports
are not intended to earn profit.
