It is not as if Indian football clubs have nobody to back them. Some examples stand out. Kingfisher sponsors East Bengal Club, while McDowell's sponsors Mohun Bagan Athletic Club. Aircel is the title sponsor for the Shillong Lajong Club, Airtel was the sponsor of I League. There are others that are sponsored by companies such as ONGC and Coca Cola, with companies Reliance, Hero Motocorp, ozone group, HTC, Muthoot Pappachan, Amul, Servo, Apollo,Samsung all are coming up to sponsor Indian football.

On ground sponsorship in Indian football has increased from 85M to 145M, between 2008 to 2013, to closing around 400Cr from ISL sponsorship in 2018 with various activities of these companies at ground level to connect with customers.

The business opportunity is increasing in Indian football and many more corporates getting into football. Along with this the corporates taking up social responsibility helping the society being developed.

Ideas sports management group is coming up with this unique idea of Indian Football Business Awards(IFBA) where its objective is to setup a link between commercialization and football, by promoting the aspects of sports in various ways. It will also provide the Entrepreneurs an opportunity to get accustomed with the upcoming business opportunities in Indian Football.

IFBA will linkup corporates with investors of sports and provide a platform for new business options. This will bring out business opportunities in the field of ticketing, apparel, ticketing etc. It will bring in employment opportunity, and bring professionals into these sector.

Do you think a business award to these companies will motivate them to promote and develop Indian football and bring more investment in upcoming years and take it at par with cricket??
